Skeptical but it worked for me on an old Dyson Animal/DC 41. Found the Dyson on the curb with a pickup truck dump near me and wanted to see if I could fix it for use at a vacation home. All he needed was this part and a new cabin air filter. I almost feel guilty. A complete cylinder assembly was $80-$100 so I decided to try this first and it worked. Bearish setup as there are tiny springs that can pop out or get lost and from what I recall the floor needs to be installed with NBC first. There is a helpful installation video on YouTube.
