Review on Trampoline Anchor Kit by Upper Bounce by Matt Kim

Essential item for a trampoline

If you are going to buy a trampoline, then this item is a must! We bought a trampoline which we really liked and enjoyed for almost a month before a windy thunderstorm one evening. I thought the kids were joking when they looked out the window and told me the trampoline was moving in the garden. I looked out and saw that he was on the wrong side of the yard, pressed up against our fence. My husband assured me that everything would be fine: "The fence will stop him. He's not going anywhere." (Come on, laugh, those were the famous last words...) Just a few minutes later I looked out and saw a broken fence and no trampoline! I ran outside to make it through 2 houses to see half of it on neighbor's pool deck.He destroyed my fence and the top of neighbor's fence, I'm guessing he cut mine when he slipped but he must have been airborne when he broke the other fence I'm glad I missed this event! It took us four to get him back to the farm. The poolside terrace was not damaged and the fences were easily repaired, thank goodness the neighbors got it. We ordered new parts for the trampoline along with this set of brackets. The point of my story is to help someone learn from my mistake! Do not set up the trampoline without this product. First of all, the Improper trampoline repairs cost time, money and frustration as the children were without their 'toys' by the time the replacement parts arrived and we were unable to reassemble them. To be honest we are very lucky. It could have been worse and the trampoline could have been thrown out our back window. UPDATE: Trampoline lasted a year with these anchors! We recently had a terrible storm (derecho) which knocked down and uprooted trees and left the area without power for 5 days. Without a doubt it was the strongest storm I have ever seen. He flipped and ripped off our (very heavy) cedar play set and sadly sent it to the trampoline, tearing off the nylon straps. However, had that not happened, I strongly believe that set of anchors could have held the trampoline in place. We found the anchors still in the ground, with straps threaded through. I cannot recommend this product enough, in my opinion it should be a requirement when buying a trampoline.
