Review on Moshi Digits Touchscreen Slip Free 15 17Cm by Marcos Fiallo

Worst touch screen gloves. Worst gloves overall. Just awful

I rarely follow Wirecutter's recommendations that lead me astray, but this is one of them. These Moshi touchscreen gloves were rated the best touchscreen gloves by Wirecutter, so I spent a little more to get "the best". They worked well enough for a few weeks, but things went wrong pretty quickly. First, after a few weeks of use, the touchscreen capabilities began to wear off, requiring more pressure on the screen to register. I thought the gloves might be dirty so we washed them on the gentle cycle and things only got worse. Now gloves are almost unresponsive to touching the phone screen. But touchscreen insensitivity is just one of many issues with these gloves. A.) They are too smooth. You would think that a glove designed for use with phones would have to have a good grip to hold the phone securely. But not this one. My phone fell out of my gloved hand many times because the gloves barely held. In one case, a "moshi slip" caused my phone's screen to crack despite the phone being in an Otterbox case. B.) The inner lining separates too easily from the outer layer. Almost every time I take my gloves off, the inner liner sticks to my fingers, causing the liner to separate from the outer layer of the glove. You might think it would be easy to tuck the inner lining back into the outer layer, but it's not. It actually requires a decent amount of force to insert each inner layer of fingers into the outer layer. C.) The composition of the fabric makes them almost useless in the snow. I used them when I was digging with a shovel in a snowstorm. The snow wasn't very wet, but in 30-40 minutes the gloves were soaked, making fingers numb from the cold. If you buy these gloves, use them for a couple of weeks, and then throw them away, you might have a great solution. But if you're looking for a good pair of touchscreen gloves that will last, look elsewhere.
