Review on ☕ Wolf Gourmet Programmable Coffee Maker with Grounds Scale and Thermal Carafe by Jennifer Middleton

Revainrating 2 out of 5

NEVER AGAIN. I was betrayed by a fancy name.

The fact that the name WOLF is well known and the general expectation of the high quality of WOLF products made me decide to buy this carafe-shaped coffee maker, despite the high price. So imagine my surprise when this dainty looking, sophisticated coffee maker turned out to be dead wrong. The decanter design is the dumbest thing I've ever come across. You can't pour a cup of coffee without the coffee sloshing all over the counter. The stylish double-walled carafe keeps the original "semi-warm" coffee it brews semi-warm for about 20 minutes. Then it gets too cold to drink. But wait, it gets better. The shelf holding the cheap plastic coffee grounds basket doesn't slide out far enough to pull the basket out without squeezing it and risking breaking it - REALLY, TRUE. Whoever designed this thing NEVER tried to make coffee in it. I have long dreamed of switching to the WOLF line and the SUB-ZERO refrigerator. After that ridiculous coffee pot experience, I wouldn't touch a WOLF product with a ten foot pole again. Never again.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Something is wrong
