Happy to say I'm finally up and running. I feel that the documentation provided wasn't enough to get it working and I had to spend quite a bit of time looking for a solution. I installed this on Win7 (64) and went through the quick install guide. The OBDWiz software failed to connect to the device or my car even though the lights were the correct color. I've scoured the forums and found this to be a common problem, possibly related to an FTDI driver issue. I updated the driver but still no connection so I gave up on this thing for a while thinking I might try it on another car soon. I upgraded to Win10. After this update I tried it and the program didn't start. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the software still won't start. In the end I found and deleted the OBDWiz folder in the CProgramData folder and reinstalled the OBDWiz driver and program. I drove by and noticed (during a stop) that the RPM and speed sensors were updating along with some other information (coolant temp, engine load) but none of the (noticeable) fuel economy related sensors ever updated. I've been poking around in the settings and don't understand if there's a way to get it to work. I don't know what information for my vehicle (Saturn SC2) is supported (provided) with this tool. Three stars overall for basic functionality and a customer-friendly warranty. I would give it one star for the documentation and the annoying FTDI. Driver gives five stars for logging data in CSV format for later viewing and analysis. It updates the PID faster than the (very short-lived) $12 Bluetooth dongle I bought, and promises more functionality if I pay extra for "premium software".
