I bought these for a course I was teaching and gave them to my adult students, packed with manuals and all sorts of forms. they loved her. They look, feel and behave like a quality product. Update: there are no problems with data retrieval, I've been using it for several months. I love it. The colored metal part rotates to reveal the USB connector and folds back to protect the USB end. The product image shows the flash drive in a closed/covered position so you can't see the USB end, but it's there. Each USB stick of a different color has a strap of the corresponding or complementary color. The strap is made of high quality woven material, not plastic, it is soft but durable and flexible to the touch. It is very convenient to put it around your wrist like a bracelet so as not to lose it until you put it back in your computer bag or purse.
