Review on Oven Rack Guards Touch Extra by Trisha Griffin

About 10 years ago I bought a jute protective cover, thick, handy for pulling a hot grate out of the oven. This was often easier than pulling out the grate with an oven mitt. It was made like this product but thicker, wider (only 3 inches) and with the same locking system. I expected these oven racks to work the same way. PLEASE read carefully and you will see that they cannot be used to remove the hot rust. This is because they are thin, being only 1 inch at the top and 1 inch wide (2 inches overall) under the post when snapped into place. If you want a guard just to keep you from burning your arm or hand when stepping into a hot oven, then they probably work as advertised. Unfortunately the product I want is not available on Revain or Ebay as far as I can tell. I was disappointed but that's not the fault of the seller or the product.
