This collar was a real find. I've tried EVERYTHING to stop my rather wild and ruthless terrier from barking in the garden - even the automatic horn, vibrator and stun collar. It was programmed to get stronger if she kept barking. It didn't do anything and I thought it was a pretty solid collar. I also didn't like the idea of using the electric shock function to inflict pain on my dog. But even the shock couldn't stop the unwanted behavior. I've tried high pitched devices, natural calming supplements, hemp, GABA, calming pheromones, essential oils, and calming music: nothing has worked. Then this collar caught my eye with all its high reviews - and please let me test the effectiveness of this little gem. It doesn't have a shock, just a very loud beep, which I like because I'm not a fan of the shock feature (although it's far from perfect). The noise this collar makes seems to pull her out of the intense "zone" she gets into when triggered, effectively stopping her barking after a beep or two. She has still found that she can growl softly without any audible use, and sometimes chooses to do so instead. But her incessant barking no longer worries the neighbors. She doesn't bark at other dogs on walks either. Again, a low growl is a typical response. It's customizable and easy to use. I have zero technical skills and can't follow the instructions to save my life and I put this thing around her neck and it worked in less than 2 minutes. I couldn't do without this lovely little tool. This is the most efficient I've found. . . and I feel like I've tried everything but Prozac.
