These switches fixed a long standing problem on my 2008 Civic Si. For several years I had the problem that when opening the doors, the ceiling light did not work. It turned out that these light switches were defective. They are fairly easy to change and quick to fix. I don't really need the bulbs as my original (soft light) bulbs were fine, but I thought the brightness of the LEDs would be good. One bulb was fine but I found the second had a loose connection and when I installed the bulb it went out until I played with how the bulb was seated to make good contact.
