Review on Acer Frameless Office Monitor R240HY Bidx, 1920X1080P, 60Hz, Blue Light Filter, Tilt Adjustment, HDMI by Craig Oklahoma

I bought two of these for a dual monitor setup. Unfortunately, there are no instructions for installing the monitor stand. The "Quick Start Guide” states "The monitor base is attached to the monitor before shipment and cannot be removed.” This is clearly not true as nothing is attached to the monitor. Rather, the kit includes two pieces: a round base and a center bracket. Attaching the center bracket to the round base was easy to figure out. However, attaching the middle arm to the monitor turned out to be difficult. On the first monitor we tried different things and nothing worked. We then thought the base was "pressure mounted" so we tried sliding it straight into the back of the monitor and it broke two plastic tabs on a brand new monitor! We were more careful with the second monitor. After a few more tries we found that you had to insert the center arm into the back of the monitor and then lift to attach. If everything is done correctly, it will work easily and quickly. If you force it, you're doing it wrong! Acer could make it easier for its customers by including installation instructions. Otherwise this is a good monitor. I have both VGA and HDMI outputs on my computer, so I used VGA to connect to one monitor and a 6ft HDMI cable to the other monitor: TIP: If like me you need to use the HDMI port, order an HDMI cable with the monitor as it is NOT included. They may have included it in the past as some reviews say it's included, but it certainly wasn't included with the two monitors I ordered in January 2019. Also, there seem to be two versions of this monitor: one with speakers. and one without. The latter is more expensive. I choose the version without speakers as I already have external ones.
