HELLO EVERYONE - BUY CAREFULLY --- I bought 12 for myself and other hunters - THE ORIGINAL WAS THE BEST GPS ABSOLUTELY - but now one seems to have give many similar models come from CHINA POST. There are two types and they look the same - COLOR SCREEN BUTTONS except what's inside - Microchip --- First - the map screen/track screen should have little index boxes at the bottom - If not THEN it's a knock off type - -- Save the waypoint - go about 250 feet - then go to the compass screen, if it has no "GREEN" and "BLACK" arrows, the GPS will NOT "GO" to the waypoint correctly, you have the knock off. The ORIGINAL MAG TRITON 500 is amazing - you waste A LOT of TIME on fakes and the only way to find a waypoint is to use the track screen to walk until you get close to your destination. On the screen showing your tracks - drop down menus should allow you to add fields below - z original - -- MY TIP stay away - as these gps are no longer made there is a 10 to 1 chance that you find the original Try the OREGON 450 or the Magellan 610 - if you are a hunter you need an electronic compass and WAAS technology OR accuracy 12m let me know so I can bid - I bought approx 9, had to return about 3 due to wrong type - so let me know
