I do not receive any compensation, reward or rebate for this 5 star rating. Bought as a new NAS drive for home. Happy with it, I bought a second one and am just as happy with it. Mine are outside on a board and my raspberry pi is in my home office. They're no louder than I expected when spinning or reading/writing. They operate in the range of 28 to 40 degrees Celsius without a heat sink (temperature is reported to SMART via openmediavault). They're heavy in a good way. No cheap or flimsy materials. There is nothing wrong with the read/write speed. (Average internal copy of 50MB/s / 400Mbps, otherwise limited to device connection only (Wifi vs. LAN). And just for fun if you hold it while it's booting up you can feel the torque in your hand spins. There is no doubt about it it spins 7200.
