I love cool tools and this one is awesome! I do little things at home. As an amateur I have some good tools, but not what you would call "accuracy" by a long shot. My miter saw is relatively good, but my table saw is so sloppy that I have to check almost every cut. Fumbling around and re-measuring so that repeated cuts are relatively close and "just right" is a far ideal. By measuring with a tape measure or carpenter's square, I could usually get within 1/16th of my target, but more than that was almost impossible. Setting up my router to work with edges with these tools took quite a bit of luck. It's really easy to adjust the cuts for common US sizes with these blocks. Fold the blocks to the desired size, place them between the blade and the guard, and set the guard. Simple, no fiddling with measurements and accurate every time. The large block works well for checking squareness to the table and also as a small, precise ruler. I checked the tolerances with my micrometer and most were either accurate or off by less than a thousandth. The worst I found was only 3 thousandths. Also in the stack the tolerances were really good. For woodworking this is ideal most of the time as you will never see a wood saw with these tolerances in your typical home shop. They come in a hard foam case to prevent damage. They are solidly anodized and will last forever if treated well. Revain is now offering them for under $70, which I think is a bargain. If you don't need an extra large kit (did I mention I love cool tools?) they have smaller kits at a lower price if you're on a budget but still want to save tons of time. Highly recommended!
