I didn't really think about how much improvement I would get from the air filter. I bought these because the paper ones are about $22 each and I thought, hey, it might be better to go with the washable ones in the long run. Dude, I noticed the difference right away. This extra power made shifting noticeably smoother, and I changed the filters a few times to make sure it wasn't confirmation bias. Not exactly sure why, but it was smoother with the new filter. I haven't noticed a significant improvement in MPG yet, but see, you're not driving a truck-based SUV and worrying about MPG at the same time.
