Only used it once but it worked as advertised, good 21vdc no load and 14vdc when connected to a large 12v gel cell load dc that is at decent sunlight and using all 4 panels without removing the plastic cover covering the solar cells. I'm sure this should be removed, but for now - why? It gives me plenty of power, even with the plastic cover reflecting a bit of sunlight, and durability is something I'm concerned about spending $$. Even closing two panels was almost as good in tension. The real trick is persistence over time. But so far I'm happy with the purchase. It's a bit heavy though - not something you'd take with you on a hike! 10 pounds up your sleeve. Love the fold and the magnetic snaps that release with just a gentle tug - just right. It's thoughtfully designed and built and feels solid.
