The cardboard is a little waxy to the touch, which probably makes it fairly waterproof, but that means the piece of cling foam for the nose (which is too small) won't stick to any foam rubber (and possibly with it , since it is so small) worn for even a short time will rub and cut your nose. The day after I tried it my nose continued to itch, when I saw the mirror I figured it was because I had a crust on the bridge of my nose where it had been rubbed to the damp. Regardless, a high quality and inexpensive way to test if VR works for you (I was expecting motion sickness). However, if you enjoy VR and intend to spend a lot of time wearing VR goggles, you should probably spend a little more money and get a nicer headset with padding to match. When folded to fit in a box, it's much smaller and offers a degree of portability that more stylish headsets lack.
