Do you see the Swiffer mop in the photos? That's the mop they fit on. These slightly stretchy fabrics are perfect for my Swiffer. They have elastic sidewalls so they slide easily over the Swiffer. No extra materials, no slip-ups, no hassles. Gentle on my wooden floors. I have not noticed any detachment of these fabrics. They are stretchy so I'm guessing they are "100% cotton". It has more microfiber in it which I prefer. They work like dry towels, no better and no worse. I can pick up lots of hair, fur, and dust, but like dry rags, I can never pick up large pieces of trash. I usually use a microfiber cloth for quick dry or wet cleaning. And that's exactly how they work. The selling point is the style of them. It's pretty neat because they just slide over the Swiffer's head. No twisting required. So just use what works best for you: disposable dry dusters, disposable wet wipes, or your own microfiber towels. OR try these. They can certainly be used as hand dry/wet wipes. I'm not in love with them, but I like them enough to like trying them out. The main thing is that they sit lightly! The garment comes with a zippered mesh laundry bag. (And they wash well) 3.5 to 4 stars.
