I installed a 97 Camry on TMMK Kentucky, it works, but there are problems

I installed a 97 Camry on TMMK, it looks very strong, but there are problems with landing. These cars were apparently made in both Japan and TMMK (Kentucky) and the air intake pipes were slightly different. All hoses currently sold (including this one) appear to be the Japanese version. Here are the problems I ran into: - As other people have mentioned, the small crankcase/crankcase ventilation hose that goes from the valve cover to this hose had to be replaced because it just didn't fit this new intake hose. The old original PCV hose was designed for 3/8" fittings and the new inlet hose has a 15/32" fitting. I didn't realize this until I took it all apart, but I found out I could order a 2" SAE J30R7 15/32" ID PCV hose from my local auto parts store for about $4.50 and they shipped it me home. , This type of hose is specially designed for this application (also called crankcase ventilation hose). The next problem is how to attach the resonator (the big plastic box at the bottom of the intake hose) to that intake hose and the air filter. . There is a 3/8" mounting hole on the bottom of the air intake hose for attaching the resonator, but that hole is actually in the wrong place. I had to open it up a little more to get everything lined up. However, the biggest problem was with the resonator mounting screw on the air cleaner housing. The air intake hose is very stiff and I think it's the wrong shape so it doesn't hold the resonator in the right position and I can't bolt the resonator to the air box. The two holes are 5/8" apart and I had to tie them together with zip ties. Couldn't get everything lined up. Trying to attach the top of the air box is extremely difficult as the air intake hose isn't holding it in place .- Some of the holes on the air intake hose are knurled to align the connection during installation. The knurls are all in random wrong places so I had to cut out new notches SUMMARY: I get the impression that the people who made this hose never tried to install it on a camry and maybe even never saw a camry but i was able to get it working and of course another purchase option, a genuine toyota hose is $100. You still need to replace the PCV hose, but the resonator and air cleaner housing may fit properly, so it depends, welc he compromises you want to make.
