Good but difficult to install

This item was difficult to install. Everything about it is wrong. I almost wanted to return it, but after an hour of ranting about it fitting, I installed it. I had to cut a piece of (non-vital) rubber to line it up with the rest of the joints. I'm not sure I would recommend this product. It is not manufactured properly and is close to OEM specs. But if money is tight and you don't mind installation issues, then this is the cheapest you can get.

Feels and fits like OEM

Based on the image in the ad I was concerned about the quality but when I received it I was pleasantly surprised. It is similar to the original part in weight, thickness and flexibility. My photos alongside the one I received shows a Toyota OEM part that was originally for my 1999 Camry. It's practically identical in every way. Fits perfectly. It's the same thickness and doesn't feel rubbery like cheap parts. it's strong After a summer here in the Texas heat I will provide an update. For now I…

97 Camry Small snag

The only snag is that the hose from the valve cover goes to this air intake hose because Toyota uses a 5/16" air hose to the valve cover instead of a 1/2" fitting on this one air intake . The '98 Camry uses a 1/2" hose. All camber air intakes have a 1/2" PVC air fitting on the valve cover. I can only speculate that maybe the Japanese and Americans made mine differently. Yes, the Camry was also made in the good old USA in 1997. Look at vin# if the J is made in Japan if the T is in Tennessee…

"Quality " - that's this device!

I was very impressed with the QUALITY of this intake hose! There are cheaper air hoses that will do the same job, but the quality of the flexible yet durable rubber used in this particular hose is second to none! If you need it, you must buy this hose! If you have a 1997-1999 Camry, check the old air hose in your car. BEFORE you take it to check the smog!. This air hose is the weak link in Toyota's excellent quality. And smog lovers knew it! Yes, my Camry passed the air quality test BUT it was…

Replace old parts with new ones. This new part solved my problem!

Went on vacation to Utah around the 15th of September and on the way there the air intake tube came loose from the clamp that goes into the cylinder body of the head case and snapped so I just got it re-tightened it and it worked pretty well until i got on the road and it came loose and i noticed my transmission wasn't working very well when i got back i re-tacked it and it seemed to work fine but then when i put the air intake hose from the GWA auto parts i was very happy and satisfied finally

I installed a 97 Camry on TMMK Kentucky, it works, but there are problems

I installed a 97 Camry on TMMK, it looks very strong, but there are problems with landing. These cars were apparently made in both Japan and TMMK (Kentucky) and the air intake pipes were slightly different. All hoses currently sold (including this one) appear to be the Japanese version. Here are the problems I ran into: - As other people have mentioned, the small crankcase/crankcase ventilation hose that goes from the valve cover to this hose had to be replaced because it just didn't fit this…
