Forces you to sign up for a Netgear account. I recommend logging in, using the app, and after setup... delete the app and your account, and then manage your router via local admin/browser login. It is a robust device with a large range and bandwidth (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). router on 3rd floor; I can adequate coverage - up to 1st floor. I bought it for $60. The other two routers I considered were the Netgear MK62 (mesh network) and the Asus AX58U; significantly more money, "future-proof" with AX, but less relevant in my home where everything still runs on AC and 800-1600 Mbps bandwidth is way more than what I'm paying from our local ISP. Might be a coincidence, but I'm on a 200/200Mbps Up/Down data plan. My previous router, also Netgear and AC, came close to wireless data transfer (120-150 Mbit/s). After installing this router I'm able to run speed tests continuously going up/down to 320/210 Mbps.*** Updated 8/10/21*** This is great. ) saturation (townhouse - most likely does not apply to SFH). Causes intermittent disconnects for 8-10 seconds, which is enough to disable VPN and real-time gaming connections.
