Review on Turntable Denon DP-400 white by Wiktor Gajewski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

The Denon DP-400 turntable has a very high quality workmanship in every detail, as well as the turntable itself as a whole. The classic design, has a massive chassis that dampens unwanted resonances and vibrations well, a very high quality rubber mat. The massive aluminum platter is belt-driven by a low-noise DC motor to protect the record from vibrations that could be generated by the motor. The engine has electronic switching of rotation speed and automatic system of its adjustment and deduction in a constant value. The Denon DP-400 features a premium S-shaped tonearm with precision bearing support. The quality and breadth of the player's tonearm settings, as well as its reliable damping, make it possible to use not only MM, but also MC pickups on this model. The presence of auto-stop (switchable) and stopping the rotation of the disk after the end of the playback of the plate, which has a positive effect on the wear of the needle, is now a rarity. The player is equipped with a built-in switchable MM, MC phono stage. The sound quality is very decent and fully corresponds to both the class of the player and its cost, although of course I would like it to be cheaper. The external power supply is also a plus. What I didn't really like was the cover of the player, in my opinion the classic version would be better. Well, personally, I don’t really like switching speeds and turning the disk rotation on / off with one switch, it’s better when turning the disk rotation on and off is done with separate buttons.
