The speakers are quite large compared to 'average' desktop speakers, but they make up for it with their sound quality. Very clean bass, mids and highs at low volume. They get surprisingly loud, but at higher volumes the mids and highs are good, but bass is lacking and a slight hiss can be heard. But if you're using them as desktop speakers, chances are they'll never be loud enough for that to be a problem. However, I connected them to the TV's AUX port and they worked surprisingly well for that. They get loud enough to make a regular TV sound a lot better than the built in speakers, which suck these days. But once tuned for movies and games, lack of bass and hissing becomes a problem again.
