The solution to the sliding lens problem!
I spoke to a professional camera/lens mechanic about my 24-105 and its lenses. He told me that while he could fix the lens, it would take 6-12 months to fix it and then it would have to be fixed again. It gets expensive when the repair cost is $225-$250 every time. He offers this tape as an alternative and I like it. Stops lens slippage and was a lot cheaper than a professional repair.
