My wife has severe hearing issues and wears a Cochlear device. I bought this speaker to connect to my tv to eliminate the background noise and enhance the voices on programs. It works as advertised. I am no techy and I had the speaker out of the box, hooked up and operating in less than a half hour. No complaints on anything with the unit.
