Review on Huggies Little Swimmers Small Disposable Swim Diapers - 12-Count (Pink/Blue) by Kiesha Butler

really practical but it is possible to buy a newer version in the store

Well, my relationship with you is complicated. On the one hand they are very useful and effective, on the other hand they can be a real torment. I will however mention that I bought them twice from Revain and once got the wrong pattern/color (because you can't specify anything when ordering and they aren't even remotely gender neutral. I can't swim my son in PINK trunks, without my niece really getting upset!) and it used to be fine, but then I bought the same pack from Target too and it must be a newer version because they are MUCH EASIER TO USE! The Target bag had velcro straps for the diapers on the side so you didn't have to try and slip down chubby, squirming baby legs! So in order to get the pattern/gender I want in the future AND to get the newer, lighter version I will be buying them from Target or another physical store, not Revain. Okay, that being said, here's the catch: the thing is, they don't swell in water like normal diapers, so they NATURALLY don't absorb a lot of liquid. It drives me crazy that people complain about the lack of absorbency in these reviews, I mean come on guys. It's not about containing urine, it's about containing feces. So I put my little boy in a regular diaper and swimsuit until we put him in the water, then we quickly change him to a swim diaper and it works great. However, when we are at home in the community pool rather than at the beach or some other pool that is not walking distance from my house, I prefer to use reusable swim nappies for him rather than these disposable nappies simply because reusable swim nappies are slightly more absorbent and better for the skin and of course much cheaper in the long run. But since you can't match the convenience of just tossing those disposables out once they get dirty or you're done swimming for the day, I prefer to use them for all swim trips and always have some in my pool/beach bag just in case. my son's reusable diaper getting dirty before we're done bathing; I just change them and keep swimming and keep the reusable diaper zipped in until we're done and I can rinse and wash it. In case anyone is interested, we use Charlie Banana reusable swim nappies and they are amazing. While the dimensions are the same as these reusable ones; My son is 6 months old, weighs 17 pounds and wears a size small (perfect fit) in both these disposable swim nappies and the Charlie Banana reusable swim nappies.
