Review on Professional Culinary Butane Torch - Adjustable Flame for Creme, Brulee, BBQ, Baking, Jewelry - Kitchen Blow Lighter by FunOwlet (Butane Fuel Not Included) by Brian Manfre

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked great until it broke.

I really liked this flashlight. I am a chef and have used various flashlights for many years. Not only was the flashlight defective, it actually started releasing butane from the bottom where it plugs in to the can and instantly turned the controlled jet into a bare-knuckled fireball. I managed to shut it off quickly, but it didn't help. "Won't stop the beam. It continued to release butane and flame, quickly spiraling out of control and burning my fingers, causing me to drop it on the ground. Luckily I have a small fire extinguisher on hand and was able to put out the flames before anything else caught fire" in the fire. Uncool.

Pros
  • Professional quality cooking burner: suitable for professional and creative family cooks. It is widely used in the processing of delicious caramel desserts, meat grills, cigarette lighters, small crafts, etc. It can use any manufacturer's butane canister with a metal ring around the top, missing a gap of about 1/2 inch. .(snap on canister)
Cons
  • No instructions
