I think it's a pretty good hammer but I don't use it. The problem is that I work with cars and this hammer just absorbs too much shock when it hits metal parts. So it's really useless when trying to free frozen pieces when I really need a heavy hammer. It's definitely a lot quieter than metal on metal, so if you can find a use for it, good for you!
