If you're installing on a traditional shower rail that's within reach, you might want to check out the multi-mode adjustable hand showers. A remote controlled shower head is another set of batteries and maintenance you wouldn't have otherwise. However, Grohe has made it as simple and reliable as possible. I would consider this shower head for high spots like the head on the ceiling that is not easy to reach. For these cases it makes sense. The remote control can be easily connected to the spray head. Keep in mind that you still need to take your head out periodically to change the batteries. The remote control can be installed almost anywhere. It works great and has all the hallmarks of a well designed product like most Grohe products. I like that it shuts off fairly quickly after turning off the water and doesn't drip continuously for a long time after that. Superb Grohe quality, although there is more plastic in this faucet than is usual with Grohe shower heads. 4 stars.
