This is the third brand of grinder we have had - all around the same price. This is the best design so far. First, it can be completely disassembled to clean the burrs. Neither of the other two allowed it. Second, it has no "recoil". The ground coffee falls out of the container or back into the grinder, after which it can be shaken off. It's so nice that you don't have to put the grinder on a small tray to pick up all the junk. Adjusting the grind fineness/coarseness is easy and the adjustment is evident every time you use the grinder. The downside is that the coffee bean hopper can be a bit smaller and the hopper that holds the ground coffee takes two hands to pull out the grinder - a minor downside as there's no messing up play. This one doesn't grind as much at the highest level either. Still enough for a quart-sized French press for people who like strong coffee, and we're not using the maximum setting. I don't know how long this one will last. Others give up after two or three years, but we don't track that information.
