This player plays Blu-ray discs reliably (at least for me). I'm using the latest firmware and recently the player stopped playing DVDs. This problem appeared while playing the disc - it started with glitches and finally the message "disc cannot be played" appeared. Now when I insert a DVD I get a horrible error message - no DVDs fit me. I'll reapply the firmware update and see if it helps, but my experience seems to be the same as many others here. When the player is running (which it usually is, at least on Blu-ray) the quality is excellent. The integration with my Samsung TV is also good. Advice. The Blu-ray discs from the Lord of the Rings box set did not play correctly at first. When I paused or did anything else (fast forward etc) it got blocked. I searched the internet a bit and found a tip that worked: insert the USB stick in the back. I've never used the USB or Ethernet ports for anything). Apparently some WB headers require a USB drive to work. (You need to go into the settings and make sure the flash drive is recognized and formatted.) After that, LOTR worked perfectly.
