I bought these lights to replace the side marker lights on my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. (I have side marker lights - this is the orange outer end of the headlight assembly). I'm assuming interior bulbs aren't designed for permanent headlight lighting. They burn out much quicker than any headlight bulb, and to be honest, I've started to forget there's light there too. It also appeared that the outlet had overheated over time. I figured the LED would be the way to go. Less heat, more vibration resistance, durability and brightness were my advantages. I was considering buying orange but figured I could use white in my car once an existing bulb burned out. White looks good through the orange lens of the position light. They fit snugly in the nest and are bright enough! They appear to be solidly built. Let's see how long they last. I hope someday!
