I confess that I had no interest in cold brewing before buying this product. Instead, I was a "hot" person pouring my coffee over ice. I wasn't even sure what "cold beer" was. But then I started seeing it at Starbucks and my wife started ordering it, so I figured it was time to add the cold brew machine to the home lineup. I've been using it for about two weeks now and I think I might get addicted. The product is marketed as being milder and less acidic than hot coffee, and that's absolutely right. I usually set my brew on medium (I'm naturally addicted and don't need caffeine anymore), and with a little bit of cream it's *very* smooth and really tasty. easy. You use room temperature water and medium ground coffee (not fine ground coffee - the instructions are very clear), mix them in a blender, set the settings and hit the brew button. When the brew cycle is complete, lift the lid and press the "brew" button again to ensure you've released all of the coffee and are done. No waiting times of 18-24 hours. One drink makes several cups. So if, like me, you only drink 1-2 cups a day, one drink will last you for several days. Cleaning is very easy. After everything is washed, you can collect it and put it back on the worktop; It's thin, so it doesn't take up much space. Or, if you insist on leaving the countertop bare, you can just tuck it away - it doesn't take up much space at all. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to more cold drinks in my future!
