This was one of the cheapest RAM chips on my new motherboard's qualified suppliers list and ran at 3.6GHz. It doesn't have the best timing performance, but G.Skill RAM had a good reputation and was affordable. As expected, it ran at 3600 MHz. But speed tests (using Cinebench) showed that my system was just as fast or faster when running the RAM at 3000MHz. I don't know exactly why, but my research shows that this is typical. I ended up setting the RAM to 3200MHz and forgot about it. I don't regret buying this RAM at all.
