This sharpener works great even with a cheap rotary block. The case keeps dust inside well. I have two suggestions for improvement. 1) Provide a hole in the top of the lid to align the tungsten tip while keeping the lid in place and 2) Provide a horizontal hole just above the grinding wheel (lid side and aluminum) that is slightly larger as the largest diameter of the tungsten electrode to allow for cleaning of tungsten electrodes that have caught in the metal during welding and are now too large for the hole (a flat disc position allows for faster resizing). I've found this to be a very useful tool that works quickly on my workstation without having to get up and go to the grinder.
