Should point out first that I have more of an issue with how the product was advertised and how it was shipped then with the product itself. I ended up buying the green.However, the EL Wire kit is not without fault itself. The biggest issue I have is these are not as bright as the seller says they are. Granted, in a dark room, they glow pretty well! But that is. They glow. The have about the same light as a glow-in-the-dark ceiling star. I planned to put these behind a picture frame to have the frame emit a nice green glow from behind it, but you literally can not tell if they are on or off in a room with lights on. I thought it may have been my batteries, so I tried three different sets (two brand new, and one rechargeable) and they all gave me the same lack-luster glow.The packaging itself also lacks any kind of instructions. Granted, I know how to cut and seal EL wire. But it's kinda of a let down that they don't have an clear instructions in the packing for others, and they just have a small blurb on the product page explaining how its done. With the lack of instructions was a lack of knowing what mode is what, and how to change between modes. Again, easy to remedy by just doing trial and error with the button. But it still seems like it'd be nice to just have *something* that says how to change between the modes and what the modes are.I gave this a low rating because of those two factors. They are no where near as bright as advertised, nor do they explain how to cut down the wires. If you plan to go to a rave, or outside a night.basically anywhere with really dim or no lights, this would work pretty well. And, for the price, I'm not too upset that I bought them. I can figure out a way to use them on something else. It's just a bummer the ad was misleading and I know need to find another lighting for my picture frame.
