I was told by two different shops that hooking up a Tekonsha brake controller to my 2014 Nissan Titan would take 3 hours and cost about $100 an hour. My truck had a tow pack and compatible fork under the dash. I removed the panel, plugged it in, and plugged it back in 15 minutes later. This includes removing the panel and deciding where to mount the controller. Connecting to the brake controller couldn't be easier if your truck has a connector for it. If you have a 7-pin connector on the back, chances are it's there. Don't tell me the store doesn't know these adapters are available for most trucks and actually thinks it will take three hours. They take your money in no time. It is absolutely, 100% WITHOUT SOUL!
