We first saw these grinders last fall at the Stage 12 hotel restaurant in Innsbruck, Austria. The design and the one-hand operation convinced us. We were hotel guests at the time and tried to buy a set from them. We were told that the mills were "special" for them and that there was just the right amount of them. During the rest of our trip around Europe we looked for something similar in all the shops - but without success. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon these online (months later) -- made by a company in Vail, Colorado, and apparently copied by a few others... But it's solid stainless steel, as we've seen, and they sure match the original image I took. Absolutely happy to have found them here in the US! My ONLY issue with them is that they can be a bit difficult to push. If your fingers aren't strong enough, you may have trouble using them with one hand, but you can always go back to using both hands!
