I have these to run some flat ethernet cables I bought down my office walls. The walls are painted and textured. I had no trouble putting them on and after a week they are still holding up great. I put a fair amount of pressure on them when I press them against the wall (about 5 seconds total). It took me about 10-15 minutes to attach all the clamps to the wall and that's when I inserted the cables. It's been a week and they're still holding up great. Only 1 cable fits per clamp. (if it's not obvious). I tried making 2 but that was too much for the clamp so I just used 2 clamps every 10 inches or so and so far so good!
