Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Top-quality Delphi FG0070 Fuel Pump Module for efficient fuel delivery by Paul Walters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits 1998 Chevy S 10 V6

Fits like a charm, OEM part albeit with slight modifications. The old fuel pump module had an external filter, this one has an internal filter. The old fuel pump module had a square 4 pin connector. The new one includes a new wiring harness, but you will need to cut off the old connector, strip and crimp the new connector according to the wiring diagram in the manual. It was very easy and very clear. He came with new brackets. The only tools you will need for wiring are a wire stripper/crimping tool and a shrink heat gun to waterproof the connections. It is VERY IMPORTANT to note that it took about an hour to get the camper off the back of my truck, unbolt it and lift it off the truck to get to the fuel tank. It wasn't hard, but it's easier than draining the tank, especially when you have to reconnect the fuel and vacuum lines and wire connectors. However, YOU MUST SCREW THE GROUND connection to the rear of the chassis before the pump will start. If you're like me and left the truck bed outside the truck, you need to make sure the wires on the back, especially the bottom, are screwed into the frame or this pump won't work. It took me another 5 hours to figure it out. Another important note: when you turn the key from the off position to position 1, you will hear the pump turn on and the pressure increase for a second. With the old pump it was very easy to hear. The old pump was much louder than this new pump. The new pump runs and turns on almost inaudibly in a very quiet garage/basement. I was a little confused at first until I pulled this thing out and stuck my head in the gas tank whereupon I heard how it worked. *** UPDATE *** More than a year and a month later the fuel pump is still working great! *** UPDATE *** It's been over 2 years now and no problems :-)
