Review on Cuisinart Chopping Blade for Food Processor by Duane Kerr

The photo of this item is exactly what I wanted because the Cuisinart stand mixer has the blades built into a plastic sleeve. This blade has always been hand washed, never run in the dishwasher. It shows many stress cracks around the blades and is ready to fall apart. So I ordered the sturdy looking blade shown in the photo. I did NOT receive the blade pictured, but an exact replica of the one that fell apart. I expect more from Revain than the Bait and Switch trick. So I'm going to use this one until it starts falling apart (and it will); I will then buy a replacement from a local store where I can see it before buying. I was curious how the old style blade was assembled (like the new one) so I chipped off the already cracked plastic around the metal. Sound. As you can see from my photo, the metal blade is a single piece, not two pieces held together by plastic. I feel better about the structural integrity of the metal blade, but the plastic around it is cracking and remains a concern.
