Review on ๐Ÿ”ฆ NiteRider Lumina 1000 Boost USB Rechargeable Bike Light: Powerful Lumens Bicycle Headlight for Enhanced Cycling Safety by Josue Porter

Poor quality charging port.

About a year ago I bought an NR 750 for winter fat bikes. It worked well and allowed about 1.5 hours of operation at maximum power. The only criticism was the charging port. You must be careful not to push the charging cable too far into the port, as the cable is fully inserted before the plastic stop on the cable reaches the front of the port on the light. The bottom line is to hold the cord light and keep an eye on the charge indicator to know when it's fully plugged in. I bought the NR 1000 because I'm generally happy with the quality and light output of the 750. My plan was to mount the 750 on my helmet for directional lighting on turns and drops, and mount the 1000 on the grille to illuminate the trail ahead. I was immediately disappointed with the NR 1000, as the brightness and light quality didn't even come close to the 750s. My dissatisfaction was confirmed when I tried charging the 1000 for the first time. As with the 750, it is difficult to set the correct cable entry in the port. I used the same process as above to verify that the cable is properly connected by observing the charging indicator. The light never came on and it looks like the pins in the connector are damaged as the cable can be fully inserted unlike the 750. I would like to return the NR 1000. I would recommend saving a few bucks and getting a 750 1000 and be very careful when connecting the charging cable.
