Review on Denso 234 9024 Fuel Ratio Sensor by Michael Herrera

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Too bad USPS lost this sensor

This sensor meets California emissions regulations. Suitable for several Toyota vehicles. This is a wideband AFS sensor. It works up to 4 volts at the tip. Conventional zirconium sensors work with 100 millivolts to 850 millivolts. You cannot mix this sensor with federal vehicle emissions. Although the blend sensors work and eliminate the MIL light, the emissions coming out of the tailpipe show up as too rich. If properly replaced, this sensor will only work partially if the bottom sensor is also defective. The car computer requires an input voltage from both sensors and the voltages must reflect the correct amount of oxygen molecules being collected by the sensors for the car computer to maintain metered fuel injection based on the amount of oxygen in the exhaust system. Too bad USPS lost this sensor. I've used it in other cars before.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Hard to tell
