Works great for California emission sensor up to Cat. O2 at 99.

errors worked well for the California pre-cat O2 emissions sensor on a 99 Camry LE. The previous owner installed non-California emissions and the check engine light came on intermittently. This solved the problem.

Pay attention to the connector plug

Before that I bought another 02 sensor and found the wrong connector. There are a few variations on this - unplug your existing plug, snap a picture and pay close attention to its shape to choose the right one. Part works great!

  • Nice packaging
Cons

FITS 1999 CAMRY 5S-FE 2.2L CALIFORNIA

This Denso 234-9024 Upstream Air/Fuel Sensor fits my Camry perfectly and clears my car's OBD trouble codes; P0125, P0171, P1130 and P1135. I made a video called "Installing a 1999 Camry Air/Fuel Sensor". Please check that.

Seems to work on my 1999 Camry.

Second hand item. Part of the coating appears to be discolored. I think it was in storage for a long time. However, it works and the engine light has gone out. It's been 60 days since installation and the engine light hasn't come back. The only downside is the price.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Periodicity

1997 Camry LE - Cali Emissions First, 5.

1997 Camry LE - Cali Emissions First, 5 stars for delivery. I ordered this part around 3pm on Friday, hoping to get it by Monday or Tuesday. To my surprise, I open the door on a Sunday afternoon and see my package there. (Sunday afternoon folks.) Make sure you get the right fit when ordering these types of parts. You can tell if you have Cali Emissions by opening the hood and checking the factory decal on the underside of the hood. If it says Kali Emm there, then so be it. If not, it's not a…

Too bad USPS lost this sensor

This sensor meets California emissions regulations. Suitable for several Toyota vehicles. This is a wideband AFS sensor. It works up to 4 volts at the tip. Conventional zirconium sensors work with 100 millivolts to 850 millivolts. You cannot mix this sensor with federal vehicle emissions. Although the blend sensors work and eliminate the MIL light, the emissions coming out of the tailpipe show up as too rich. If properly replaced, this sensor will only work partially if the bottom sensor is…

I probably saved $200-$300 by doing it myself

This worked great in my 1998 4 cylinder Toyota Camry LE with California Emission Control. Installation was pretty darn easy. We unscrew the cable from the old one and disconnect it; Apply thread lock, screw in and connect the cable for a new one. I also bought an OBD2 dongle from ieGeek for $17 here at Revain. Using it in conjunction with my iPhone gave me error codes that prompted me to replace the air/fuel ratio sensor. Between the OBD2 key and the Denso part, I probably saved $200-$300 by…

This worked for my 99 Camry / it's for California emissions

Code: P0171, P1130 and P1135. It also gave off a strong smell of petrol and got a lean MPG (about 12mpg in the suburbs). After thoroughly studying the materials on the internet, I decided that this is an O2 sensor problem. This is backed up by my mechanic who insisted I get the part from the dealer for $265 plus tax. I gave up and bought from Revain and saved over 60% on parts. I took it to the local mechanic. He changed it for me in half an hour's work. But it actually took him literally five…
