Review on Denso 234 9024 Fuel Ratio Sensor by John Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This worked for my 99 Camry / it's for California emissions

Code: P0171, P1130 and P1135. It also gave off a strong smell of petrol and got a lean MPG (about 12mpg in the suburbs). After thoroughly studying the materials on the internet, I decided that this is an O2 sensor problem. This is backed up by my mechanic who insisted I get the part from the dealer for $265 plus tax. I gave up and bought from Revain and saved over 60% on parts. I took it to the local mechanic. He changed it for me in half an hour's work. But it actually took him literally five minutes to uninstall the old one and install this one. He didn't even have to lift the car off the ground, he simply used a long-handled tool to do the job outlined above. All the problems mentioned are gone for the time being, hopefully they won't come back any time soon. Tip: Problems should be fixed as soon as possible before the converter is poisoned/damaged by incompletely burned fuel. The repair will cost thousands. Update: I just found out that this sensor is for California emissions. Luckily for me, my car turned out to be a California exhaust car (which I didn't know about until now).

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I really don't like it everything is fine
