Jumbo waste of money

This is probably the most disappointing purchase I've made in a long time. As I adjusted the blade, I noticed that there was a STRONG lateral runout - the weld is so far from square that it can be seen without even laying a ruler on it. but I thought "What the heck" I bought the blade just to sketch out the handles of the knives and cut out the Loveless bolts that hold the handles. So I decided to just let it run until it wore out and get something else. This idea took exactly 1/2 of a knife. The blade held up well on the micarta, no better than a cheap HF blade which was around 0.25 the price of this blade. then I trimmed the Loveless bolt (mind you, that's 8-32 stainless steel in a .25" brass tube); My first thought was that the blade was upside down but all the teeth were pointing down. So I stepped back and continued to gently press the blade to see how it worked. In fact, it was amazing that the blade didn't dent even when cutting brass; In fact, I don't even think it was a cut as the pin heated up VERY quickly and I smelled baked epoxy within 10 seconds of trying to "cut" the pin. well it looks like my brother will get a free knife as there is no way I can sell this knife right now. I believe the blade actually "cuts" using the theory of friction rather than snipping off small pieces of the material. with every tooth that has fallen through. it is a pity. Save money! Those blades would be a bit expensive even if they had to cut. but for what they are they are an absolute waste of money - and of course there is no going back

Pros

Cons
  • I'll write back
