Suitable for pureed food

Ideal for little hands to hold and touch pureed food or yoghurt. Unfortunately I rarely use food of this consistency, we usually have a few small pieces that just slide off these spoons (e.g. oatmeal). I wish the handle was a bit longer, it seems our son would use it better if he was, but he prefers a long handled spoon. I still think they are good for helping a kid understand an idea. Spoon but for some reason my son prefers the 2 in 1 spoon even though we don't spoon feed him. Probably because we saw us using him to scoop food between his bib and his tray (he's 9 months old and eats by himself so most of the food ends up in that gap). Two issues with this spoon: it's not designed to be easy for a child to hold and we have a magnetic tray (admittedly not a very useful issue) so it's difficult for it to use but it has did not change his preference. Our son loves to chew on this spoon and it's great that they decided to add a hole at the end so you can tie it together and keep it from falling on the floor. They're worth trying if you're trying to implement the idea that a baby should feed itself, they just don't work very well for us.
