The chair was fairly easy to put together with a few simple tools. The problem was that they included instructions for a chair without armrests. My roommate and I had to touch each other to figure out how to tape our hands. Agree, it wasn't too difficult. But the right guidance wouldn't hurt. The seat itself is comfortable and can be hydraulically adjusted in height. However, the backrest is incredibly stiff and won't recline. I had to buy a backrest to support my lower back. Worst of all, I leaned forward a little to grab something from the table next to me and the chair fell over. What a disaster. The only salvation are armrests at the ideal height. I would return it if it wasn't so cumbersome to disassemble and repackage each part.
