Tasteless but too expensive

I have been doing powerlifting for 7 years. This stuff works well, has almost no flavor (I drank it with dishwater and didn't taste it at all), and mixes absolutely flawlessly. Note that there are 29 scoops, which equals 2 pounds. The bottle is bigger than I originally thought, but that wasn't a problem. I usually eat some candy while warming up for my best sets and I heard about dextrin and wanted to try it. I'm glad I did - compared to nothing at all, this material absolutely makes a noticeable difference in energy levels, both in the top set and when tapering towards the end. Compared to sweets (I personally love Swedish fish) it still makes me feel a little more energized at the end of my workouts, which is frankly impressive. I'm sure I'll miss it so much by the end of the bottle next week knowing that I might still have the energy left for another heavy rep at the end of my set. However, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried any other form of intra-workout or just happens to work - over $2 for a scoop and I usually use 2, I could probably recommend a hundred other things. If you are a serious powerlifter/bodybuilder and have money to burn, this is a really effective product that beats candy in terms of both performance and macronutrients. But if you're not, just stick with your favorite simple sugar source. I took off a star because this is clearly intended for anyone who plays sports, which this product at this price point is definitely not made for. It won't help recovery, "fat burner stay on" is bad marketing and it doesn't help with hydration at all. You should honestly have another source of fresh water or really dilute that water because it will make you very thirsty.
