Is that really Weller? I was confident that Weller would trump my 30-year-old Radio Shack pistol that I had finally pulled the trigger too long. Which actually still works if I push the electrodes back into the body hard enough. A broken old handgun heats up the tip in about ten seconds! This weller takes a full minute to melt flimsy solder, let alone heat up the intended job! It has a 2 minute on time (then wait 5 minutes) which means half of my soldering time is up before I get to work! If something is thick, forget it! I need to use butane or pull out a broken gun! It's time to try one of these cheap new name brand products and see if they put Weller to shame! SO much for a true professional trying to buy what I thought would be professional. Very disappointed.
