When it worked we were happy. After less than a year of use, she suddenly collapsed and dropped her anchor. When trying to weigh the anchor, the spool did not catch on the rope. Just clicked. I had to manually pull the anchor rope to raise it. We will fix and update this review in the near future. UPDATE: The block was beyond repair as the metal weld inside the gear had sheared off. I gave up on this device and bought another, more expensive device from another manufacturer, which has worked without problems for two years. It looks like you get what you pay for. learned my lesson
